There’s a rawness, an energy that exists here the way that it used to in places like New York or probably even LA — the bands are so welcoming and unpretentious, it’s refreshing in the best way possible.
Queue is an indie-rock outfit from Philadelphia and Washington D.C., originally formed by friends who met at University in 2014. On their debut EP Frames, Queue blend contemporary grooves, chiming guitars, and 80’s inspired synths and textures, effortlessly complementing singer Olivia Price’s lush vocals. Drawing comparisons to indie favorites Daughter, Beach House, Foals and The Temper Trap, the band’s first two singles “Falling Into Skies” and “More” were both featured on Spotify’s Freshfinds playlist. Queue is now playing select dates up and down the East Coast to support the record, including recent performances for Sofar Sounds and at Musik Fest with X Ambassadors and The Avett Brothers.
