Easily cemented as December 2013’s finest pop triumph, it would take a master stroke for a rework of Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” to be considered on par with the original. Enter Los Angeles’ Elephante, one of EDM’s brightest rising stars who did just that. He reimagines the hit as a fist pumping, floor shaking, club kid anthem while still maintaining the cheerful and heartening aspects of the original. One listen and you can’t help but grin from ear to ear while you’re wiping the sweat from your brow.
