Kate Boy gifted us with an unexpected release Monday; our first taste of new music in over a year. “Self Control” picks up nicely where “The Way We Are” and “In Your Eyes,” two giganto records by the way, left off. Echoing the same pulsating rhythms and soaring melodies that made the former cuts so unique, the Stockholm trio’s latest effort is an aural treat that has me wishing I was under the Christmas tree unwrapping their highly anticipated debut album.
