Manhattan’s Skizzy Mars has been imparting his own brand of uncommon hip-hop for a few years now. His latest is no different.

Reworking Diana Ross’ sensuous “Love Hangover” hook, the MC teams up with unconventional R&B artist Marc E Bassy of 2AM Club fame to drop a hazy serenade fueled by various nefarious substances. And while Skizzy’s verses land with earnest force it’s Bassy’s atypical vocals that stand out as the highlight. I can’t seem to get his halted delivery of “I feel this way, sober or high, wit cha” out of my head right now.
