The 1975 – Medicine

Esteemed British DJ? Check.
An instant cult classic starring a ridiculously good looking male lead? You got it.
New studio material from one of the most unique and all around chillest bands out there right now? Hellz fucking yeah!

BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, tasked with curating a brand new soundtrack for the criminally underrated Ryan Gosling flick Drive [the BBC Three broadcast just wrapping tonight], rounded up a veritable who’s who of indie-phenoms and propitious new stars. Chief among them, the four lads from Manchester known as The 1975 and their empyreal contribution “Medicine”. Written exclusively for the gritty 2011 arthouse thriller, this exploration into the passionate depths of the arduous male/female pairing fits perfectly with the foreboding themes of the film. What else would you expect from the avant-garde foursome?

Give the entrancing exclusive a spin below, available via iTunes now, and while you’re at it get familiar with the lads. Seriously, do yourself a solid and check these guys out live; phenomenal performers.
