Here’s something I thought I’d never type, ‘Hey guys you gotta listen to this new Adam Lambert song!” But wouldn’t you know the former American Idol contestant turned international popstar has just shared “Ghost Town,” the House-lite lead single from his upcoming release The Original High, and I can’t stop playing it.

It’s an unexpected departure from his earlier glam pop-rock offerings; the cut starts softly, featuring only Lambert’s melodic vocals and a lone guitar before switching gears into a lounge-ready groover lead by a prominent, synth-loaded bassline. Here’s to hoping the rest of the LP sounds as smooth as this.
