The name Imad-Roy El-Amine may not sound familiar to you, but his tunes should. The DC native dropped some serious sound last year as Royal, but things are slightly different in 2016. The same freshness is there, just part now of a modest rebrand: Imad Royal.

And kicking off that rebrand, the hitmaker has dropped “Down For Whatever,” a viber for the grown and sexy, featuring New Orleans’ Pell. Some throwback heat starts the cut off proper before Imad lays down his impassioned notes. The rhythm picks up as does the percussion, giving way to Pell who imparts an effortlessly chill flow. You’re left with a creamy, future R&B / hip hop hybrid certain to enhance any rotation.
