Iceland; home to delicious fish filet, massively disruptive volcanoes, and singer-songwriter Júníus Meyvant, the latter being its coolest export. Recent winner of Best Newcomer and Best Song at the Iceland Music Awards, the Westman Islands vocalist is showing no signs of slowing down as he releases his latest single “Neon Experience” via Record Records.
Off of his upcoming LP Floating Harmonies [due July 8th], the six minute cut dabbles with influences of folk, soul, and indie-pop coalescing as one cohesive sonic-unit, but its his uniquely raspy verse and hook that prove to be the focal point.
