I’ll be honest, the Barbershop movie franchise has never really done anything for me. If it’s not early 90’s Ice Cube I’m out. Which means I’ll often miss out on some pretty decent cuts from the soundtracks. Though I’ll be honest again, I probably wouldn’t have come across Lizzo’s empowering “Good As Hell” if it weren’t for BNDR’s beast of a remix.
The original’s devil-may-care spirit is about the only thing you’ll recognize as the tempo and rhythm shift into overdrive, creating a new propulsive experience. And in doing do, the Aussie duo have completely redefined the cut as a future house force that drags you out of the barber chair onto the dancefloor. Give it a spin or two below:
