Star in-the-making Maya Killtron wowed listeners last year with her groovy, disco-tinged “Never Dance Alone” but had been off my radar since. That’s all changed now with the release of her follow-up single “Bad Decisions,” another funky ride through disco town.

A candid reflection on the soloist’s trials and tribulations in love, the cut dances along with a luscious nu-disco arrangement full of unrepentant strings and synths [true to her genre-spanning style], but it’s the rich melodic twists and turns that stand out on the whole. It looks like she’s got another rotation mainstay on her hands.
