Ahead of her upcoming Grammy performance at this weekend’s celebrations, Katy Perry dropped her first album material since 2014 this morning, the synth-sational “Chained To The Rhythm.” Featuring Bob Marley’s grandson Skip and produced by the storied Max Martin, the cut grooves along at an intermediate pace lifted by synthesized retro-chords and undertones of prevailing. Perry also adds a layer of melodic gratification with her verses while the young Marley interjects a youthful exuberance to the mix.
