Popular music, in all its forms and styles, is due for a shake up every now and then and what better way to tackle that than through an artist’s metamorphosis. Charles Fauna is the new undertaking of Brooklyn soloist Charlie Mischer [formerly known as Paideia] and he’s debuted his vibed-out new single “Hypnosis.”

It’s an exciting fusion of his electronic scholarship and imaginative direction as highlighted by a very real sense of digital hypnotism. Repetitious bars and constant percussive rhythm coupled with his focused lyricism confronting the expected make it easy for the listener to get lost on first listen.
