GoldLink ft. Mya – Roll Call

It’s a District homecoming of sorts when two of the DMV’s own, GoldLink and Mya, get together on the former’s “Roll Call.” A standout from his freshly released At What Cost, the cut celebrates DC and its finest attributes through a certifiable bounce and inspirative lyricism.

The accomplished MC drops a few choice verses lauding his hometown streets but its Mya’s pre-chorus hook that should resonate with any appreciative DC Metro listener. “Coming from where we’re from, ain’t nothing easy / So no matter where I go, around the world / It’s back to D.C” she sings over a funky house groove and disco-tinged synths.

It’s definitely one of the more upbeat songs on the album and a strong contender for considerable rotation spins. Stream below:
