When you think of Foo Fighters and features, you’d probably have a hard time racking your brain to find a single one. They’re an entrenched band that needs only to rely on their own merits for continual successes. But when you’re recording your ninth album at the same studio one of pop’s biggest stars is sharing you let him drop quite possibly one of the greatest backup vocal sessions in the history of recorded music.
That might be a slight exaggeration, but Justin Timberlake’s string of commanding “la la las” on Concrete and Gold standout “Make It Right” is up there with the greats. It’s a fitting component to a track already steeped in bruising riffs and boisterous percussion.
