ZHU’s Generationwhy cut “Hometwon Girl” is airy electronica that rightfully stands out on its own. But when French producer Khamsin decided to take a stab at flipping the original he ended up with a sensational mix of his own.
Released in the final days of Summer ’17, the new take revels in sanguine melodies and a buoyant backdrop that are reminiscent of the sunny season’s feel-good vibes. There’s also an air of aural agreeability throughout the tightly polished production that sets it apart in a way its predecessor never tapped into.
