As the ignorant American that I am, I would have been hard-pressed to find High Wycombe on a map. But that all changes as the UK five-set Only Sun is, to borrow a cliche, putting their Buckinghamshire hometown on the map with their latest.
“I Can’t Stand It,” a breath of fresh indie-rock air, instantly charms with its kinetic rhythms and cheeky messaging; spitfire riffs and a playful opine on love’s back-and-forth set the scene. But its the way that the cut’s contagious chorus bops inside your eardrums that stands out something special.
Let’s hear it for these High Wycombe lads one more time.
