Motherhood or music-making? Some used to consider it a choice, but Welsh singer+songwriter ANGHARAD is blowing that notion up on her latest “Because I Am a Woman.”

The first single from her upcoming debut album is an alt-pop call to arms, rousing listeners with an engaging groove and ample candor. Speaking her mind, she shares:

I received some hostile reactions myself when I announced that I was pregnant. I was told that I was unambitious and that I was no longer serious about following a career in music. These outdated, sexist attitudes need to change.
