Ah yes, the “American Dream,” a myth for most and inspiration for KAWALA’s latest alt-pop romp “American Adrenaline.”
It’s the London five-set’s comment on America/Americans and our seemingly never-attainable quest for outsized riches and success and DH has to say…nailed it. The anthemic quality of the track is apparent from the first few bars, manifesting itself in the lively riffs and bursting percussive bits, but the tune’s true takeaway is the lyrical authenticity composed throughout.
Addressing the meaning more in depth, the band shares:
We wrote [this song] about the constant struggle we all face every day chasing this mythical unreachable idea…The glitz, the glamour & in reality it all feels miles away… but maybe that’s okay.
For most of us that will never realize that dream, they’re dang right that’s okay!
