Hippo Campus look to capatalize on their new album announcement [Flood, Sept. 20] with the accompaniment of the poignantly penned single “Paranoid.”

It’s the four friend’s alt-rock reminder that life is full of unknowns we may never come to understand, but presented in such an easily digested way thanks to an enrapturing melody and earnest verses. As they put it:

[This song] is the collection of sun flares plastered against your eyelids after falling asleep outside. What’s left of whipping shitties in your self-conscious for too long. It’s a hard look in the unforgiving mirror and the sobering realization that not all questions have answers.
