Ella Eyre, independent artist of recent, puts that newfound creative freedom to the test on latest release “domino szn.”

Painted with hues of rhythmic R&B and draped in pop panache, the soulful bop is the singer+songwriter’s ode to summer and the blossoming of young love. And thanks to an undiscovered fluidity, the cut was a quick turnaround too. Speaking on the process, she shares:

Two months ago [this song] didn’t exist. This is the quickest write to release I have ever had in my entire career and that is one of the many reasons why I love being an independent artist…It felt so good to write that I couldn’t wait for another summer to pass before sharing it with the world, and I’m so happy I don’t have to…It’s a summer love kind of song I’ve always wanted to write and I’m so excited for it to be out.

Listeners will have to agree she’s passed that test with flying colors.
