Brooklyn-based band State Street, preparing for the upcoming release of their collaboration-centric EP, are debuting a shift in sound as they play off Puerto Rican brothers Mola Mola for new listen “Whatever You Want.”

Downplaying their traditional alt-indie grooves, the five creatives opt for a more upbeat approach as they introduce danceable backbeats and sugary-sweet, pop harmonies; the addition of the latin-pop pair unlocks an unrealized-before sonic synergy. The new direction is not only welcome but hopefully a harbinger of the melodic cooperation to come.
