Blossoming pop-creative ODD LUKE, striking while the iron is hot as they say, has followed up a sold-out, debut set in London with the release of another debut – his EP Surface Tension and its slow burn of a bop “Punches.”

The grooves are out in force on this defeatist opine as elements of pop, R&B, and soul shine as they seamlessly intertwine. Speaking to its composition, the soloist shares:

[This song] is basically a frustrated monologue dressed up as a song. It’s about wanting to say how you feel, but tripping over everything—yourself, and the general chaos of I guess trying to find love and that perfect life.
