The introspective creative pulls together threads of throwback pop and R&B to weave a sonic tapestry that serves his perspective well. Expanding on the mix’s meaning, he recalls the moment:

Finding myself in a healthy and stable relationship was both exciting and intimidating. When you’ve gotten used to rollercoaster-style relationships, there’s really an adjustment period after entering into a positive feedback loop. The song was a way for me to channel that energy and be succinct in how I felt about it.

That candor comes through loud and clear and absolutely rings true.
