WHO SHOT SCOTT – “U SCARED”

It’s probably safe to say that there isn’t an artist quite like alt-hip-hop head WHO SHOT SCOTT out there making music these days. His style is bold, brash, and a little bruising. His latest listen captures all of that and adds a soupçon of unbridled edge.

“U SCARED,” focus track for tomorrow’s BRAIN (SIDE B) project, is an unapologetic anthem crusading against conformity, fear, and the invisible chains that hold us back. And it slaps.

Punk’d out at its core, the alternative-minded statement revels in its chaotic nature. But it’s the mood-crafter’s intensely curated candor that leaves a lasting impression on eager ears. Expounding on that angle, he shares:

This song is me holding up a mirror—to conformity, to the fear of being judged, to the things that make us slaves without us even realising. It sounds disturbing and ugly because that’s exactly what it is…If this piece of music disturbs you, that’s fine, but all I ask is that you consider why that is, without just labelling it ‘trash.’
