The Knocks and Dragonette first connected for some collaborative magic back in 2019 when they released their GRAMMY-nominated “Slow Song.” Now some six years later they’re fleshing out that foundation of cooperation with a full-fledged, joint album Revelation [out June 6]. And while the first two tastes have been suitable, it’s this third listen that nourishes the sonic soul.
“Foolish Pleasure” instantly engages with the euphoric charm of their first foray and never looks back. A synthful undercurrent of dance-pop pulsates from the beat-craftin’ duo while our solo feature lays down an unencumbered vocal steep’d in wonderment and bliss.
It may have taken a couple tries, for DH at least, but that aformentioned magic is back in a big way.

– And for the keenly aware: yes that’s star of their first joint visual, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Aquaria, back in the fold.
