Blossoming soloist Lyn Lapid had been on many a “ones to watch” list in the lead up to her debut album BUZZKILL drop last month. That changes now as she’s the one to watch after showcasing her staying power on the LP’s last taste “death wish.”
A cheeky commentary on lasting friendships, the alt-pop piece juxtaposes a jaunty instrumental against the backdrop of losing a good friend to a partner. But not all is doom’d gloom. Despite its melancholic nature, the track exudes a playful sense of fun and frivolity.
And plants the rising star’s flag firmly on the scene.
