Low Girl – “No Reasons”

Alt-indie risers Low Girl are grooving something hypnotic on their latest listen “No Reasons.”

Second such preview of their upcoming Is It Too Late To Freak Out? project [out Oct. 22], the new cut is an angsty and angry break-up anthem colored in lighthearted hues; a singular approach that only adds to the aura.

An industrial tone takes hold before pronounced percussion joins the mix and shifts moods to a more lively approach. From there the UK four find sonic harmony as they coalesce around the weighty merit of their musings. Frontperson Sarah Cosgrove shares:

Whilst this is an angry song, it has to be said that I really struggle with anger and usually avoid it at all costs. I’ve learnt that some anger is healthy, and it’s important for your self esteem to stand up for yourself. I’m still finding a balance – some days it’s too much and some days too little. I guess this song is a little step towards an equilibrium!

Well, I’m hooked.
