Liverpool quartet Honey Motel, quickly becoming one of DH’s favorite new finds, are racing towards their Motel FM impact date [Nov. 28] with the release of defiance anthem “T.N.A.K.” down the stretch.

Pronounced “Ten-Ack,” the call-to-climb is the latest alt-influenced melody from the four friends. A burst of sound greets listeners as distorted riffs and high-octane drumming set the tone before giving way to front-person Freddie Griggs’s buttery smooth vocals in the verse and hook. The remaining ebb and flow shifts between augmented sonic blasts and measured undulation, all under a melancholic guise.
