Fave’d up-and-comer Timmy Skelly is bringing his self-assigned brand of “Midwest y’allternative” to the mainstream once again as he sets a wholly wistful mood on his new tune “Summer of ’16.”

Second such preview of his second such EP [out TBD], the alt-Americana cut is a sanctified moment of nostalgia waxed as the Illinois native reminisces on a sunny season passed.

Deliberate string strumming and unbothered percussion interweave comfortably as the blandish’d vocals ingratiate in the sonic subconscious, but that’s just what eager ears have come to expect when loading up a listen to this always engaging creative.
