Manchester electroni-pop two-set samxemma, first catching DH’s attention with their short-player HOT PEOPLE MAKE HOT MUSIC, are back at it serving up a serotonin rush with their rousing new single “Me forever :(“

An anthem for the chronically self-aware, the electro-pop piece sparkles as clubby synths and cascading percussion tell the story of modern social paralysis; lines like “You can take the girl offline / But she’ll still think in tweets” stand out as Emma contemplates escaping her own self. She adds some context by saying:

[This song] is the realisation that even if I wanted to drop everything in my life and “runaway”, I’d still be me everywhere I go. I’m me forever and nothing will ever change that, which is usually quite a scary thought for me.

Heady stuff. But a dope song nonetheless.
