I must go on record as having loathed #Selfie. I know I sound like a crotchety old man [I’m not 30…yet], but giving credence to a narcissistic trend made famous by a Kardashian was about the most basic way to make it big. Then I see the soon-to-be Sirius stars are set to release a track titled “Kanye”? Honestly I was ready to write off The Chainsmokers, amazing remixes and all.

But then I actually listened to the track and all was right in the world again. A few mellow bars matched with serene vocals from LA’s SIREN start this understated powerhouse of a cut off right. A build later and you find yourself rocking out to that signature Chainsmokers production you’ve come to love. And for a track that takes its name from one of the most self-serving men on the planet, it’s lyrics are notably altruistic and downright empowering. So go ahead and #belike Kanye:
