That must be the wordiest title to hit this blog so far. Impressive.
Anyway, Dillon Francis dropped the poppy-house cut “When We Were Young” yesterday but it’s already built up a strong buzz on the interwebz. With some help from the dynamic production duo Sultan & Ned Shepard and vocal project The Chain Gang of 1974 this number has people in either of two camps; haters not digging the more radio-friendly sound or lovers grooving with the bouncy dance floor smash. I could play devils advocate and say I can see both sides, but at the end of the day I’m aligning myself with the latter crowd for sure.
Be sure to check out “When We Were Young” and the rest of Francis’ full length debut Money Sucks, Friends Rule out this October.
