It seems I can’t get enough of SAINT PEPSI, Digital High’s favorite act of the year. So after teasing his latest offering in my 2014 countdown, I figured it deserves the full treatment.

The innovative producer takes his turn in reworking the inescapable hit that is Canadian quartet’s “Rude,” submitting for our approval a midtempo slow jam fit for a late-night lounge wind down. The transformation may be a touch Mustard-esque, a deep and rudimentary bassline designed to get you groovin’, but that’s a proven moneymaker and it works just as well here. I’m looking forward to more originality of this variety in 2015; you should too. And a big ha! at his sometimes muse Mitt Romney cover art.
