For something a little more current I give you “Christmas In Jersey” from Diplo friend and Mad Decent signee Trippy Turtle. The remix specialist re-purposes Kanye’s “Christmas In Harlem” melody and then takes the sampling effort to new heights, touching on a cacophony of viral references, none more special than the enduring “Dick In A Box” gag. It’s a bit scattered at times, but the track as a whole has a delicious uptempo groove and some unexpected digital harmonies.
