About to impact radioplay for the time since last year’s breakout smash “Animals,” Dutch phenom Martin Garrix has teamed up with genre-integrating superstar Usher for crossover cut “Don’t Look Down.” A departure from the edgier electro-house sounds you’re used to from the boy wonder, this lofty electronipop cut instead plays up the airy synths and capitalizes on Mr. Raymond’s sweeping range to rousing effect. The finished product is actually an agreeable transition and perhaps a sign of more to come; I’m still patiently waiting on that Ed Sheeran collaboration!
Grab the track over at iTunes while it’s still hot, and to any Washington, DC fans out there, Garrix will be hitting up Echostage April 17th [tickets still available].
