Like a fine wine or stiff cocktail, a good cover can turn around even the bleakest of days in an instant. Case in point; surf rock collective The Derevolutions’ take on the Phil Collins’ classic “Another Day In Paradise.”
Ditching the somber soft-rock composition for a less weighty approach, the unconventional indie troupe have refurbished the poverty-awareness narrative into a sun soaked tropical juxtaposition. Seriously though, despite the sobering subject matter, the one-off revamp manages to hearten any listener’s mood.
