Canada, our friendly neighbor to the north, is well known as an exporter of crude oil, loyal hockey fans, and douchebag popstars. What you may not know is that they generate genuine musical acts that don’t absolutely incense you as well. In this instance I’m talking about Busty and the Bass, an exciting electro-funk collective that saw life through Montreal’s house party scene a few years ago.
Now the nine friends are ready to enjoy their successes with the release of debut album GLAM supported by the brass-heavy bomb and second official single “The Real.” With a robust production full of energizing horns, jazzy riffs, and gliding vocals this soul-lifter will have a solid spot in my rotation going forward.
