Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. That’s never more true then when it comes to a really capable cover.

In today’s case, unsigned singer/songwriter Lui Dodds flips one of the summer’s bigger tunes, The Weekend’s “I Can’t Feel My Face,” into a stripped down alt-electro piece of bliss. His soft and sweet, R&B-tinged tones complement the simple percussion layers and subdued strings smoothly, a major shift from the high-strung pop production of the original. Job well done.
