Halloween is tomorrow, so naturally I have to come up with a holiday themed post to celebrate. This year it’s easy on account of alt-indie mainstay Panic! At The Disco’s chilling video for their latest Death of a Bachelor offering, “Emperor’s New Clothes.”

Ominous yet high-spirited instrumentation serves as the backdrop for a ghoulish metamorphosis, a transformation that finds Brendon Urie in a state unlike any you’ve seen him in before. Eagerly awaiting the heavenly light at the end of the tunnel, our dashing lead singer is blindsided, falling into the perilous depths of a dark and dank breeding ground for all things horrifying. Through verse and hook, it’s there he starts convulsing and wrenching around until his final demonic form is realized, making for one motherfucker of a Big Bad. Props to the makeup department on this one. This is some next level shit here. But on the whole, these visuals are both captivating and terrifying, just what you need for your All Hallow’s Eve party mix.
