Rudimental and Ed Sheeran’s “Lay It All On Me” is a certified standout this year so naturally it received the remix treatment from some of the top beatflippers. But that wasn’t enough for the drum and bass foursome; they’ve gone and released their own hip-hop tinged re-up, enlisting the fresh takes of Big Sean and Vic Mensa.
Telling The Fader that they tweaked the beat to ‘suit a rapper’ [Big Sean was a big fan of the original], the fellas rely on the 808 standby to beef up the percussion elements, creating an ample soundspace for the two MC’s to lay it all on us.
