Matt Healy, lead singer of The 1975, called into Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show this afternoon to debut “Somebody Else,” their fourth preview off of sophomore album I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.
Unlike their previous three releases, “Somebody Else” is a contemplative, toned down affair that’s built around pointed synths and an emotional release of a hook. And it’s true 1975 to the core, a track fans longtime and new should immediately glom on to.
