“Ms. Jackson,” one of hip-hop’s greatest triumphs, is time-honored and highly revered by young and old so when attempting to re-imagine the Outkast anthem it’s best to tread lightly, or not at all.

But Party Pupils, a collab between MAX and RyanEXOE, have put together a musical “fuck it!” and it’s pretty darn good. Injecting a generous dose of electro-bounce, the newly minted duo have stepped out onto the digital scene in a big way. Future bass rhythms replace the original’s soulful grooves and while the hook remains constant, it too sees a contemporary flip.
