Bruno Mars has not so quietly made the latter half of 2016 his mini renaissance. The crooner known for his sweet serenades and traditional pop grooves has spun that swagger in a new direction on third album XXIVk Magic.

A funked up throwback already making a big splash, the full length is led by the charmingly suave single of the same name but the real cream of the debonair crop has to be instant favorite “Finesse.” A late entry for one of the year’s hottest, track #8 is a certain rotation mainstay as it blends 1980’s new jack swing with the bass-heavy rhythms of today.
