I’ll come clean, up until now I had missed the boat on Kelela. But that changes from here on out with the release of “LMK,” her upcoming debut album Take Me Apart’s steamy-as-fuck lead single.

Over an imposing bassline and percolating percussive layers, the R&B songstress takes ownership of the one-night stand machismo with her own brand of vocal authority.
