What do you get when you cross hypnotic pop melodies with an unconventional A-list actor? None other than Reni Lane and Anna Nordeen or as they’re better known by, Fever High’s latest single.
“Good Advice,” second taste of the Brooklyn music-makers upcoming album FHNY, is energetic electroni-pop from the go but it’s a second act soliloquy from legendary quirk Jeff Goldblum that nearly steals the show. Reni explains how he ended up on the track:
I knew Jeff through our mutual friend Vincent D’Onofrio. We bonded over our mutual love of jazz piano and stayed in touch. When we sent him ‘Good Advice’ and asked him to improvise something, to my delight he sent us an 8 minute rant of hilarious anecdotes about bad advice he’d been given in his career.
It’s a fun addition to an already stellar song and one that neatly captures the spirit of self-sufficiency resonating throughout the track. But don’t take my word for it, go your own way with a stream below and be sure to keep those ears open for FHNY out November 10th.
