Though I fucked up, and fucked up a lot, I now find myself within a position where I feel ready to be loved and to love someone back.
Those are the candid confessions of Greyson Chance as he serves up his first helping of original music since last year’s Somewhere Over My Head EP. Taking a brief repreive from his studies at University of Oklahoma the now twenty year old soloist has released a stand alone single “Low,” some of his most personal introspection to date.
The downtempo haunter chronicles his inclinations to turn away from flourishing romances, only to realize he’s reached a stasis in his life where he can begin to welcome the genuineness a relationship holds. Lyrics like “Didn’t know how to feel when you broke me down / I needed time to move around without you / But I think I’m ready to hear I love you” embody that honest emotion that resonates throughout the new piece.
