2017 was a breakout year for Sigrid. The Norwegian star soloist took the streaming scene by storm with her debut “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” racking up thousands of plays seemingly overnight. Since then she’s shown no signs of slowing down, releasing a small smattering of tunes to eager ears and just performed a set at Coachella Day 2 [or is it Beychella now?].

Now she continues her hot streak with “High Five,” an anthemic piece of electroni-pop probity. A song appreciating genuine candor in a relationship rather than cursory exchanges, the cut boasts sweeping percussive arrangements, soaring synths, and those endearing vocal quirks.
