It’s been hit or miss in 2018’s early going as far as Calvin Harris drops are concerned, but vibes are trending positive with the release of his fantastic take on Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom cut “Alone.”
Returning to his house roots, the master producer flips the midtempo bop into a monster club mix complete with a driving synth bed, rich in wonky bass, and brilliant nu-disco flair strung throughout. But no remix is complete without some carry over. In this case, the soulful integrity of the original stands strong with Halsey and featured artist Stefflon Don’s chopped verses adding a layered nod.
This is the Calvin Harris you know and love, so get to grooving below and be sure to add your own copy to playlists now c/o Astralwerks.
