The Knocks ft. Sir Sly – Wizard of Bushwick

It’s only been a few days but The Knocks sophomore studio effort New York Narcotic has seen support stream in from critics and fans alike for its captivating approach to expressing love sonically for its namesake city. But its track twelve that has received the bulk of DH’s repeat focus since release last Friday.

“Wizard of Bushwick,” featuring a tempered vocal assist from Los Angeles three-piece Sir Sly, is a funky house number boasting bassy synth layers and a percussive element that grow in size but more notably stature as the track progresses. Coupled with the myth-making ethos behind the lyricism, it’s a combination that does the Brooklyn neighborhood proud.
