Alanis Morissette – Reasons I Drink

Trump, crippling anxiety, and I might be an alcoholic are just a few of the reasons I drink. Alanis Morriseette’s justifications are a little more rational, disclosed on her new single “Reasons I Drink.”

Lead cut from the always candid singer-songwriter’s newly announced Such Pretty Forks In the Road, set for release May 1, 2020, the tune is an honest, alt-pop reflection on addiction and its worrisome merits. Over a rosy piano line, she opens up about the pressures of growing up in a grueling music industry and the respite she finds in drink and food. Any listener should be able to resonate with the very real emotion spilled forth with each note.
